Duties
- You will ensure that needed equipment, supplies, material, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations.
- You will check work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines for compliance in accordance with supervisor’s instructions.
- You will obtain needed information or decisions from the supervisor on problems that come up during the work.
- You will ensure that safety and good housekeeping rules are followed.
- You will perform a variety of specialized assignments including making determinations based on reference sources in the treatment, stabilization, neutralization, separation, and preparation of hazardous wastes for shipment and disposal.
- You will perform warehousing duties involving one or more warehousing specialization related to receipt, temporary storage, handling, and maintenance.
- You will oversee the loading and off-loading and securing of cargo as required to ensure safe transport.
- You will operate motor vehicles up to five tons to transport materials, wastes, equipment, and parts in accordance with regulations.
- You will make on the spot decisions that affect the safety and wellbeing of the installation as a whole.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position requires the ability to lift/carry 40 lbs.
