Job Description
Ensure that treated wastewater meets local and federal regulations prior to release into the city system.
Wastewater Treatment Responsibilities
- Treat wastewater with the correct chemicals and quantities to meet specifications.
- Maintain accurate treatment and discharge records for auditing purposes.
- Ensure wastewater equipment is maintained and operated safely and efficiently.
- Keep the wastewater treatment area clean and organized.
- Unload bulk deliveries of dry and liquid raw materials and fill bins with dry materials from production.
Safety And Compliance
- Wear required safety equipment and follow all company Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and use prescribed safeguards properly.
- Notify a supervisor before performing tasks without proper training.
- Report unsafe conditions or acts immediately and take steps to protect yourself and others from serious risks.
- Understand that safety and environmental responsibility are core company values.
Additional Responsibilities
- Adhere to all quality processes and procedures related to job responsibilities.
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally during the shift.
- Work in confined spaces and handle chemicals as part of the role.
- Maintain good attendance and report to the job station on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally during the shift.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and handle chemicals.
- Strong English reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
- Solid math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Mechanical aptitude is required.
- Ability to take clear and accurate notes.
