Job Title: Wastewater Technician (Grade-A Physical Chemical License)

Location: Goose Creek South Carolina

Department: Field Services/Operations

Reports To: Field Service Manager

Job Summary: Wastewater Technician will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of our water purification equipment. Equipment specific training will be provided.. This role requires advanced technical skills, regulatory compliance expertise, and a commitment to customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and chemical water treatment systems and related equipment.
Perform routine inspections, calibrations, and adjustments to ensure optimal system performance.
Diagnose issues and implement repairs or adjustments, ensuring minimal downtime.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, compliance records, and service reports.
Conduct water quality testing and analysis, interpreting data to ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
Follow safety procedures when handling hazardous chemicals and ensure team adherence to safety standards.
Collaborate with clients to address service issues, providing clear explanations and recommendations.
Train junior technicians on equipment maintenance and safety protocols.
Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

Grade-A Physical Chemical License required.
Minimum of 3 years of field service experience in water or wastewater treatment.
Proven knowledge of physical and chemical treatment processes, including coagulation, filtration, and disinfection.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and report writing.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
Experience with SCADA systems and automated control equipment.
Knowledge of state and federal water quality regulations.

Working Conditions:

Primarily field-based with occasional office work.
Exposure to hazardous chemicals and water treatment environments.
On-call availability for emergency maintenance.

Salary and Benefits:

$75-80K

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
